How to use Marketing as a Service

Marketing as a Service is a tool to boost sales and conversion with personalized ads.

What is Marketing as a Service?

Marketing as a Service allows you to promote your projects through targeted ad campaigns to optimize sales conversion. You have the flexibility to create tailored ad campaigns, whether it's your latest Tribes release, running a sale, or launching a new FronTier.

Marketing as a Service replaces the Google Ads on your object pages to give you more control over your advertising space.

There is a plan for everyone to suit your needs. As a Premium Creator, you will be automatically subscribed to a tier based on your Creator tier for no extra cost to remove all Google Ads from your object pages. If you choose to not run ad campaigns or upgrade your tier, you will not pay any weekly or commission fee.

All Marketing as a Service plans are included in chosen Premium Creator subscription tiers.

All Premium Creators are automatically subscribed to a tier based on their Creator tier for free (Upcoming to Traveler, Pro to Expert and Studio to Master) which remove all Google Ads from your object pages. If you choose to not run ad campaigns, you will not pay any additional commission fee.

How to set up a Marketing Campaign:

Step 1: To begin setting up a Marketing campaign, first navigate to your Account Settings. To do this, click your avatar and select "Settings". Next, click on the “Marketing” tab.

Step 2:
Under “All Campaigns” click the “Create New Ad Campaign” button.

You can proceed with setting up your Ad Campaign. However, you need to select and subscribe to a Marketing Plan. Then, you can activate your campaign. Refer to the “Managing your Marketing Plan” section of this guide.

Step 3: After creating your ad campaign, you will be taken to a New Campaign page. Here, you can give it a name, upload your banners, and visualize which banner upload section corresponds to where your ads will be displayed on your object pages.

Under “Select Ad destination target” use the search menu to select the ad's target. Your campaign will lead there. You can use the search function to find your target by name. Your target can be a specific object, a collection, your Tribe, or one of your Campaigns.

Please note that once you publish the Ad Campaign, the campaign target will not be editable. Make sure your selection is final.

Step 4: Upload a banner for the Below Object Ad. You can upload up to three banners. But, you need to upload at least one. Its dimensions need to be exactly 864x336 pixels.

You can download a template from the Ad Campaign set-up screen to help you. Click the Download Banner Template button.

Step 5: You can repeat Steps 3 and 4 to set up your Sidebar and Bottom Banner Ads.
These also need a target at least one banner with the matching dimensions. You can see a mock-up of your uploaded banners to the left of your campaign details.

Step 6: At the bottom of the Ad Campaign set-up screen, you can set the start and end dates/times for your Ad Campaign. This determines when the ads will be active and visible on your object pages.

You can leave the end date empty for an indefinite ad campaign.

Step 7: You can now activate your Ad Campaign by turning the toggle button under the “Active” column. This will complete your ad campaign, making it visible to your customers on your designated targets.

Managing your Ad Campaigns:

After setting up your campaign, you can edit it by clicking the pencil icon under the “Actions” column. You cannot change the campaign's target while it's active. However, you can replace, remove, or add banners as you see fit.

You may also edit the end-time for your campaign, or add one if not already set. Each campaign can be manually deactivated by toggling the green button.

You can run an unlimited number of campaigns at any given time. The visibility is split between all currently active campaigns. For example, if you set up four campaigns with the same number of ads, each campaign’s visibility will rotate between the traffic to your object pages.

Note that deleting a campaign will remove the metrics from this view. We recommend deactivating rather than deleting.

Understanding your Ad Campaign’s metrics:

Once your ad campaign is active, you can track its performance via metrics displayed in the campaign table.

Here, you can see the number of views, clicks, conversion percentage and revenue generated, including a breakdown of revenue splits. For a breakdown of individual ad metrics within a campaign, click on the “Performance” dropdown.

These metrics offer a comprehensive understanding of your campaign's effectiveness, helping you make informed decisions to refine and enhance your marketing strategy.
